It is only better

June 2004, the second time I came back to Buenos Aires alone. And yes, I stayed at Tango Hogar again for the whole month. I am glad I did make that decision, because I have already known the place and the owner, how to get around. Everything has been improved at Tango Hogar. One more bedroom is built, but along with it is a new spacious bathroom. One week before my leaving, a new connection was added for guests to get access to the internet, although the internet places are just around the corner and very inexpensive. Oscar and Norma listen to any opinion/idea/problem you might have, and they always do their best to make your stay pleasant. One Sunday they invited me and another guest to go for a day trip to Lujan where their daughter lives. Another weekend I left at midnight for Concordia, they booked a taxi and hang around that evening, put my luggage in the cab and made sure the taxi driver knew where to take me to. I left my laptop, passport and other documents with them when I was away. Another weekend they encouraged me and gave me detailed directions to visit the famous 'Delta de Tigre'. Because of my very limited Spanish, Oscar tried to make me understand how to get on the right train (two trains) and off at the right station (which I misunderstood). I made it (and back to the guess house in one piece!). When there was some nice band or special event at a milonga, they informed and invited us, as their son, Manuel, starts to take Tango lessons. I bought an wooden 'cup' and a metal straw to bring home in order to introduce 'mate' to friends, Oscar volunteered to cure it (which I was not aware of), so it is ready to use.
During my stay, two guests from the previous year came back to Tango Hogar as their familiar and favorite place, one from San Francisco, another from Germany.

I could say more, but perhaps it is enough for you to draw your own conclusions.
Thank you very much, Oscar and Norma. I hope I will be able to see you again next summer.
